I recently brought some for myself (power rush and pig yellow) but this time i was overcome with light-headedness and I went really cold,

Don't bother with what's on the market. The shit out there now will turn you blue and give you cancer. They are brown bottles of witches brew with 0% alkyl nitrite. They knew neither how to distill nor how to run the reaction in the first place. And distillation only works if you got *some* good nitrite out of their "brew" which they did NOT.

Buying poppers is a crap shoot. You never know what you're going to get. Even purchasing the same product from the same vendor. Don't give up though. Just try from somewhere else. It's all pretty bleak though. I would make it myself if I could. But apparently the chemicals needed are either hard to get or are sub-par. Plus I'm just plain lazy. And fat. And I'm not very smart. And I don't have any chemistry knowledge. And I don't have any lab equipment. And I don't have much money.
