I'm no scientist but if I remember my high school science classes correctly.
We should be able to replicate a scientific theory on a repeatable basis with the same results at every try or give or take.
Why is it so hard to make poppers like Joe Miller did? It had to be a simple formula. Right? Surely this stuff ain't rocket science. I mean it's a liquid that gives you a rush of euphoria. I've seen the people posting poppers how to guides on here. I probably can't do it but why has one man become the Rosetta Stone or guidepost for poppers. " Hi, I'm Joe Miller." Hi Joe! What is your human accomplishment? " I created the best poppers experience ever."
I used those poppers from the Joe Miller era and yes, it was incredible compared to today's crap. I've read it was real Amyl but I've tried the Amyl from Europe(Poppers Aromas) and it was no where close to Joe Millers PWD Rush branded poppers. I remember the feeling still to this day and miss it.

Yes. I remember them and miss them dearly. My first bottle of Rush was purchased around 1987 or so. ( Give or take a year or two ) And they stayed consistently powerful for many years. Awesome stuff. But yes, something happened and caused popper quality to turn to shit. Maybe the quality of the ingredients aren't as good ? Or maybe there was some secret ingredient that was used. Who knows.
But I don't think Joe Miller actually made them. I think he was on the business end of it. I remember reading that a chemist from Ely Lilly was recruited to develop the formula.
But he got it right. That's for sure.

secret ingredient that was used....that is an urban myth created by "The Rush Hour" ditto: the story about the "yellow pad" ditto: many other things about JM. Elvis is correct he never made poppers at Harding Street, that was done by Great Leaks Products, then labeled by Miller's Pac West Distributing (PWD). He passed in 2010. RIP.

@All Above: I started using poppers infrequently in 1972.
I tried the RUSH product on a few occasions and the formula was not real amyl nitrite. To the best of my memory, it was basically a butyl nitrite formula and had a very harsh odor, which was unacceptable to me.
All of the PWD popper products - under a variety of names targeted to the male gay consumer - were all the same identical formula.
I also used real amyl nitrite between approximately 1976 and 1985 - purchased from vendors in the US and UK - and the odor was pleasant and distinctly different from that of RUSH.

Hello, das denke ich auch. Die Qualität hat abgenommen, weil viele das Produkt als Möglichkeit sehen schnell viel Geld zu verdienen,- bei uns sagt man aus Scheisse Gold machen.... Zudem machen alle Beteiligten auf Geheimnis, der Hersteller, Gross - und Zwischenhändler, Einzelhändler... am Ende steht der Kunde und der ist der Dumme..... die Kunden zahlen denen alles, für geringsten Aufwand nehmen die maximales Geld....
Heutzutage gibt es keine ehrlichen Hersteller oder Händler mehr, das meiste Zeug ist nutzlos und chemischer Abfall.
Meinst du poppersx.com? Jerome Stonebridge ? Oder wie er sich zur Zeit nennt? Der Tyo hat hier unter gefühlt 20 nicknames die Leute verarscht, scheint ein Freund vom Admin zu sein..... kriegt hier Unterstützung....
