I used to love poppers, I was a heavy user and I couldn't masturbate or have sex without them.
Now the quality of poppers is so bad, I don't even see the point of still trying to use them :-(
I keep trying different brands but get the same poor results. Now in the last few months they have been making me sick, which never happened before.
It's really making me depressed, do you guys have any recommendations? Otherwise I think iam finished with poppers.

Yes, too many side effects and few of them are long term. It's better to quit for good.

I agree, literally most of the poppers on the market are utter trash, it's like they are all mass produced by a bad poppers maker and have the same weak trash effects, most are totally useless within 2 days and minimal huffing, and from opening the bottle they are not much better either

You are like a candle in the wind! never ever knowing who to cling to when old age sets in! I am reminded of much quoted words from the classic TV drama Acorn Antiques:

Did you tire of Zurich, or did Zurich tire of you, Clifford!

Meaning poppers are the same as they have ever been....it's you that is the reason they don't work no more...take it easy guys...zimmer frames at the ready now. Things aunt what they used to be! r us sure? turn up your hearing aid, dearie.

It all ended in 2007 when The EU poked their nose in and changed the formula from iso butyl to iso propyl. They also changed the traditional screw top to the awkward safety cap. I use to love poppers in the 90's but detected a watering down by the year 2000, probably The EU interfering before they finally got their way and ruined everything.

Hi all !

I’d like to keep going as I really like them and as of being 40 years old they still work…. well for me at least

Whatever they did in 2016 in the U.K when the law changed? seemed to cause such a difference, they have gone downhill so much

However since I got inappropriate sinus tachycardia from the AstraZeneca jab I can’t use poppers anymore.. I’m not anti vax. I just got unlucky

I still think about poppers every few months.. but I’ve given it up too
It was great while it lasted!

I agree with Concered4u.

First sniff of poppers for me was 1999. I still have great results with isobutyl when I use them. I think the trick is to not overdo.

I buy about 6 bottles a year and make them last.

If you keep chasing the dragon, you’ll never be satisfied.

Live in the now.

They are all crap for three main reasons...the type of alcohol used(normal amyl has the least side effects), the purity of the alcohol...they all degrade with and without exposure to air....and the age of the popper, assuming it was pure to begin with. If made pure and preserved well, it will have a longer shelf life. The crappy effects come for impurities. And isopropyl is just too damn potent...caves the blood pressure within minutes.

I have the same perception, but I am absolutely sure that it is me, not the poppers, that changed. The chemicals are still the same, but I am at this point 20 years older then when I first tried them. It's not just poppers, I can't drink as heavily as I used to, or run or swim as much as I used to... yeah, getting older is a bitch.

Oh yeah! the hangover from HELL...when you pass a certain age...gone are the days when we could chug down 10 pints and still have room for a ruby and poppadoms! do that now and you'll end up in bed for week...

The passing of time deprives us of the pleasure of youth, boys. still, look on the bright side...we can all have a good moan, go to bed early, and wake up with nice clean teeth on the bedside table..Polident is our bed companion now...before it was the moans of pleasure as you got your butt pumped...now the clink fizz of Poli D.

You would have to be an idiot to huff the ineffective liquid cancer that is currently on the market. Poon out.

Jack said on Sun, 19 Jan 2025 at 01:30...

...but your'e fine guzzling the "effective" liquid cancer in that wine or martini.

Whataboutism is a fallacy (RIP The Professor) that won’t reverse the malignancy.

Jack said on Sun, 19 Jan 2025 at 07:07...

OK, let me re-phrase that: Drinking alcohol (proven) and using poppers currently on the market (quite possibly, but unproven) increase the risk of cancer. For the former, the risk has been proven to increase with the heaviness of imbibing. With the latter any possible risk likely increases with heaviness of huffing. One is hopefully making a benefit-vs-risk-assessment when using either substance. They are not, in either case, automatically an idiot, as they would be for running in front of an oncoming train (unless the person doing so were suicidal or desperate to, say, try to saving someone who is in harm's way). It's a parallel situation, not whataboutism. (Whataboutism would be: "Trump mishandled the pandemic, leading to unnecessary deaths." "Well what about Biden causing many soldiers to die and abandoning Afghani allies by botching the Afghanistan withdrawal.";-)

Woah, you seem to have veered off the rails.

I agree that people should have the freedom to make bad choices. Take it easy.

But voting for Donald Trump is a sign of idiocy, right? rather like throwing the whole darn country in front of a train. So you can conclude that people that are actually idiots, are not actually aware of the fact. An idiot is someone who through feelings of personal inadequacy, low IQ, or who suffer from external mental impairment from Newsmax syndrome etc, votes Trump. The act of voting for Trump is an idiotic act, like drinking two bottles of rye and smearing your anus and balls with habanero paste...won't end well...but might seem a good idea at the time.

yeah i am with you footluv. they are all crap now. really no evidence whatso ever it is an age thing. its a chemical thing.
Anyone who has done a bit of research knows about law changes which led to formula changes.

But i guess the marketing department for certain brands who appear on a lot of threads blame age then they can target a younger demographic that dont know any better having never had the good formula.

such a shame they cant good ones anymore they made me dileriously horny.
