I had used several different brands of poppers in the past quite frequently with little/no long term effects.
At the beginning of June (it is now August 9th) I used jungle juice brand poppers for the first time two nights in a row.
I felt out of it the following day but it took a few days to realize I had injured my brain quit seriously.
Symptoms have improved over time but I still am unwell/not back to normal.
My symptoms have been twitching eyes, eye pain, extreme brain fog, headaches and dizziness.
After realizing that I had done some serious damage I have been sober from all drugs (62 days at the time of writing) and I quit coffee last week to see if that would help in my recovery.
It seems like I have given myself neurotoxicity of some sort. My eyes are fatigued but I don’t see spots and generally feel like I can focus well.
I tried to go hiking and found that over exerting myself cause worse symptoms.
I’m wondering if anyone has had similar experiences. Things seem like they are slowly improving and I think quitting coffee and being fully sober is good. Mainly have fatigued vision and some dizziness, some slight brain fog at this point. Pray I’m back to normal soon.

I threw out the bottle but can go back to the shop I bought it from to find out. Would love to hear whatever you have to say

I just went to the store I bought it from and they no longer carry it. The person working there told me he believed it was idobutyl nitrite

The bottle I believe was blue and was not the platinum version if that helps

Looking at photos on google I believe it was the blue “jungle juice plus” bottle

holi ) sounds 2me like you are going through a detox period...so quit poppers, esp. those with heavy molecular loads like propyl, hexyl butyl. jungle juice never had a blue bottle so it is a kinda variant of some kind, prob. Chinese origin. if u must use poppers and using in a detox period is not such a cool idea, then find the light softer formula ones, it is some reaction as your body is in detox mode and is super sensitive, that;s my conclusion from what i read from u, but betta go get a check up.
>myself neurotoxicity
i think might be methemoglobinemia, but i am not a Doc. there is something called Methylene blue but i don't know it, never used it, so not advising it, but u can ask a healthcare pro. PLUS: detox anxiety?? can be, hombre, you gonna get symptoms there and poppers is not helpful to this.

I stopped using and have been completely sober including no caffeine since I used them.
Quitting caffeine helped a lot. I still have some remaining symptoms it is primarily my eyes feeling strained still.
My exposure was may 31 and June 1st, it is now August 16. I still have some light pressure in my head and dizziness has gotten way better, almost gone but I can tell I’m not 100%. Maybe when the pressure is fully gone.
I’m getting an MRI and will have my eyes checked out.
I will not be using poppers ever again obviously

I have an optometrist appt. as well as an MRI scheduled but I think it's possible everything im experiencing is just neurotoxicity. Some of the pressure feels like it left my head today and my eyes are also feeling a bit less strained. Hoping that in the coming couple weeks I will continue to have more improvements and hopefully my eyes will also go back to feeling normal. Will continue to share updates.

I spoke on the phone with the hospitals optometrist today and described my symptoms to him - he said he believed there was no concern for long term damage and that he expected I would recover fully in time.
Again, i believe I actually used Isobutyl nitrite and not isopropyl - both can have adverse effects on your eyes but isopropyl is known to be significantly more damaging.
The eye symptoms i have experienced are extra dryness, eye fatigue, soreness and eye pain, some difficulty focusing on things. I have not experienced symptoms that would indicate retinal/more concerning damage like seeing spots, blurred vision, water marks etc.
Still experiencing eye fatigue and sensitive to blue light, i still have mild dizziness and some mild head pressure/headache symptoms but they seem to be getting milder day after day.

A Case of Popper-Induced Methemoglobinemia
@Pablo...let's hear what happened..good luck.

I did not have Methemoglobinemia.
After talking to my doctor I believe i had chemical toxicity from the poppers and i did some damage to my eyes (not permanent).
Current update is my eyes are still sensitive to blue light but improving. My head feels a lot better but i still have very mild dizziness occasionally and a bit of brain fog. I am hopefully that all of this will go away given more time. I will continue to post updates.
I am 3 months in since exposure now.
Quitting coffee was essential to my recovering i should add. I had significant improvement begin when i cut coffee out.
I'm getting a brain MRI this wednesday - will post an update. Hopefully nothing visible in the MRI.

Good news - I had my MRI today and was told my brain looked normal.
My suspicion at this point is that the remaining brain fog im experiencing is
1. the result of my nervous system being extremely over stimulated for almost 3 months and is still normalizing a bit
2. My eyes are still quite strained and that strain is manifesting in some other brain symptoms - hopefully as my eye strain lessens and my eyes continue to recover my symptoms will continue to improve more
