Hey yall!
How’s it going?
I’m still daydreaming about settling into a nice evening with a brown bottle and some erbs
Quite fancy a Chinese takeaway soon haha!

Not well, Aurora. The world is a troubling place and all that is UNHOLY comes from one place: Diabolus Aurantiacus e Nucibus Fredi
Bloodshed and conflict have been fanned into raging wildfires through indecision, posturing, political tent shows, ignorance, and lies.
Economic disaster lies ahead. The first symptoms of this poisonous affliction manifest this very day on corpus humanitatis.
The shiney, shiney, shiney boots of leather trample the basic rights of the free.
>Quite fancy a Chinese takeaway
I will join you Like Cliff Barnes I am fond of a nice Chinese. I hope you use chopsticks. I am thinking of special fried rice, prawn crackers, and those fried pork balls in a sweet and sewer sauce. I must check my purse, maybe I will also have some spring rolls with a dipping sauce. Let me know what you choose, we will compare. Wishing you all a lovely Saturday in this vale of tears. Let us remember the words of the famous, 1948 hit O Fortuna by the delightful Carmen Miranda:
O Fortune, like the moon you are changeable, ever waxing ever waning;
hateful life first oppresses and then soothes playing with mental clarity;
poverty and power it melts them like ice.

Ahh yes I know the world is in quite state at this time but I myself are quite optimistic about the future
I must confess that I use knifes and forks rather than practice the art of chop sticks haha!
I will have the Chinese next month I have decided now as I have had enough treats for this month
My order will be thus… also the fried chicken balls with the unknown sweet and sour sauce which you like , beef ribs, chow mein and finally lemon chicken. Truly a feast! The only downside being the sugar and saturated fats of coarse. One must moderate these things indeed!

Beef ribs...now there is a thought! my mouth is watering. I choose also not to indulge; as my purse told me NO. I like Peking duck in those pancakes things with cucumber sticks. Did you know Ken Kercheval was involved in a popcorn business?
Got any plans for this week? I am thinking of giving my cat a bath, that's about all really. His name is Elaga (as in Elagabalus) and he is not very friendly at all. He appears very disapproving and disgusted with life, very unsettling, kills everything insight, and attacks elderly people (ankle bites). Why he only attacks the elderly puzzles me, perhaps he can sense weakness? He attacked me (bit my ear and neck) when I had the flu last winter, when I was asleep, so that fits.

I see!
Yes beef ribs are quite delightful! And Peking duck
site the pancakes, cucumber and sauce is also very good!
I had to google Ken Kercheval
No major plans this week except to watch the new Alien tv series
No doubt I’ll be in for a fright or two haha!
Perhaps your cat requires some talking therapy haha
“It’s good to talk” as British telecom used to say over here !

@PJ Nice! Enjoy your ribs! Glad we’ve reminded you
As I’m 41 this year I had to YouTube the advert, always nice to see “old England” as I call it

Maureen Lipman ...classic.....Fly Fishing' by JR Hartley, The Honey Monster!!! didn't he nick yr Sugar Puffs? good days boys..

I don't think Honey Monster stole the food, he used to smash up the kitchen, basically go totally nuts after eating, so maybe a sugar high. The very best advert was Kia-Ora. Back then you needed to have real talent, not rely on AI and computers, to make great advertising. But oh my:
"Kia-Ora’s advertorial history relied heavily on racist stereotyping of black people, purely because the word sounded vaguely exotic to some London-based executive"
I guess that's true.

do u remember a school canteen tart sorta thing that had corn flakes on top? corn flake tart...hmmmm....licks lips....there is another called a gypsy tart...hehehehe...a sugar high. .i remember something about a tv chef getting into hot water about it cus it was a sugar bomb that caused kids to go into a sort of diabetic coma or hyper state, maybe that is BS, i mean plenty of urban myths like that...
